A Queens special ed teacher was sentenced on Thursday to 10 years probation and a lifetime as a registered sex offender after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a pupil.

Marc Scheibel, 48,  was arrested in February after he was recorded on video by another teacher grabbing the hands of an autistic 9-year old girl, and placing them on his groin area. The teacher who recorded him then reported him to the school’s principal and he was arrested later on that day.

The disgraced teacher at the Carl Ullman School in Oakland Gardens later pleaded guilty to sexual abuse in the first degree and was labeled a level one sex offender.

“The victim in this case is a defenseless child with autism,” Queens DA Melinda Katz said in a February statement following the arrest. “The defendant — a trusted teacher in our school system — is alleged to have taken advantage of both his position and the little girl’s innocence. Our children must always be protected from predators. The defendant will be held accountable for his alleged actions.”

He was sentenced by Judge Karen Goobe,
