Poll Interpreter Fired for Influencing Voters

According to an official at Queens-Politics.com, a Korean American interpreter at P.S. 20 in Flushing, Queens was expelled by a poll coordinator earlier this evening when he was caught telling a voter whom to choose in the local and national elections. Sang Soo Park, a Board of Elections interpreter, was overheard encouraging a voter to fill out an exclusively Democratic ballot. Daniel Baek, a Korean American attorney and poll watcher, said that he heard Park tell a voter that selecting President Obama was the right choice.

Park was working in New York’s sixth congressional district, where State free run 4.0 v3 femmes Assemblywoman Grace Meng is attempting to become New York’s first Asian American elected to Congress. The Board of Elections poll coordinator later removed Park from his duties after “helping” voters all day. A similar incident occurred earlier today at the polls at St. Mary’s Nativity Church – also in Flushing.
