Shakespeare & Co. Closes The Door In Brooklyn

Empty bookshelves line the walls at Shakespeare & Co.’s store on Hillel Place and Campus Road.  The long-time  bookseller found it’s impossible to compete with the digital world. Online retailers like Amazon cut into profits, and E-readers like the Kindle Fire stole eyeballs.  Store managers tell Christian Colon, they could not hang on any  longer.
